Just found your website and hope this catches on more quickly. We just came back from Germany with our 3 lb. terrier and over there, she can go in restaurants, trains, cable cars, stores of all kinds. The restaurants have a bowl of water and kibbles at the entrance for dogs. Dogs have to be on a leash and sit under the table. The dogs are SO well behaved and friendly around kids, other dogs and vehicles. Here, we were asked to leave Home Depots with our little dog. We would travel more if we were more welcome. Germany hotels welcome you and your pets. You are required to pick up after your pet; here I see people with large dogs just let the dog mess and walk away. That may be why our pets are not welcome. Of course, I see dirty diapers in the parking lots here also and you can still get into hotels with babies. Maybe if we are better, more responsible pet owners; businesses will open their doors to our loved ones. I love your program and will be looking for this sign. We love to travel and so does our little dog.

This is SUCH a fantastic idea...you are to be applauded and I am only jealous I didn't think of it sooner! I hope it goes big, all over the US because I am a SINGLE woman that travels with 2 LARGE dogs. This is so frustrating to find a safe place for them AND me.

However, the one thing that I was hoping to find on your site was a list or map or something of the like that shows areas/businesses that are already members. I and my dogs have to travel from Vegas to Baton Rouge, LA and was hoping to map out my journey and then compare on here where I could make stops. Is that something that will be forthcoming?

This is such a great idea. I really hope that this spreads across the country like wildfire....especially on the west coast. Ever thought about making a Facebook? This would spread the word around the country really quick.

This effort is to be applauded, and long overdue!!! For those of us with pets, they are FAMILY. I give more consideration to my four-legged friends than my two-legged friends. I have found most four-legged friends to be happier, cleaner, and more deserving anyway. I hope this "act of kindness" spreads like wildfire. Thank you for your hard work!!! Brenda

Wonderful idea! Here's hoping it will expand to the west coast where I have had to pass up things I wanted to do because dogs were not welcome and it was to warm to leave the dog in the car.

This is a great idea! I travel a lot with my two german shepherds and more than once have been told to leave when all we wanted was a place for them to potty. I will share this with all my friends. Kudos to you for thinking of it!
